About the role
We are looking for a Web and App Video Content Coordinator who will plan, commission and publish video content on UEFA’s website and its competition-specific apps.
This role does not involve video editing. The role will predominantly involve working across men’s competition channels such as the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Conference League, as well as UEFA EURO, UEFA European Qualifiers and UEFA Nations League.
This is a permanent role, based in our London office with hybrid working options available.
Who we’re looking for
Key responsibilities
Reporting to our Video & Sponsor Content Lead, you will plan, identify, research and commission video content for UEFA’s official owned platforms, specifically the men’s football competition pages on UEFA.com and the competition apps.
- The role will include utilising the vast UEFA archive, repurposing great football content and using it creatively to execute against the client’s business objectives, for reactive and preview videos.
- A key part of the role will involve working on matchnight deliveries, both editorial such as highlights, flash reaction and post-match reactive, and key sponsor deliverables, such as Goal of the Day.
- You would assist on content for sponsor deliveries across web and app and (both on matchnights and during non-matchweeks), fulfilling the client’s responsibilities to sponsors and key stakeholders with branded video content.
- You would take ownership of Thursday night Europa League and Conference League output, ensuring editorial and sponsor content is delivered to the highest standards.
- You will also have access to over 250 media day film shoots with clubs and national teams involved in UEFA’s competitions from which you will commission interview and other feature content.
- The role will also involve identifying key quotes from big game press conferences and commissioning video to support an enhanced preview content plan for the 2026/27 season.
- The role will also include working on web and app vertical content, with the aim of building out the Stories and Moments features on UEFA’s owned competition platforms with engaging video and static preview and reactive material.
- You will communicate with UEFA’s multimedia team and editorial leads on the content creation process before signing off on edits delivered by UEFA's separate video production supplier.
We need you to have:
- Degree in journalism, communications or multimedia disciplines.
- Experience of working on video output in a web/app/social content-based environment.
- Experience in digital content planning, analytics and executing the full content delivery circle.
- Understanding of deliverables across multiple platforms and aspect ratios,and how a consumer will experience the video on those specific platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive both individually and within a team environment.
- Proactivity and a mindset for ideas generation.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, particularly when under pressure, veryimportant.
- Ability to pick up new operating systems, such as the web/app CMS.
- Willingness to work long and unsociable hours and go the extra mile to ensure content is delivered to the highest standards, especially during matchweeks.
- Deep knowledge of (and passion for) football and in particular European football.
