Slicker, faster, and built for modern fans - Ahead of the 26/27 season kick off, InCrowd and CPFC rolled out an elevated website and mobile app, featuring a fresh UI design, upgraded video architecture, mobile-first vertical video content and an enhanced, industry leading Match Centre.

Crystal Palace Football Club’s digital platforms have undergone a complete transformation, establishing a modernised, high-performance ecosystem across both web and mobile channels. Developed as part of an ever-evolving, strategic digital evolution programme, this modernised experience builds directly on the club’s powerful, existing digital capabilities, with the upgraded infrastructure fully integrated with CPFC’s data-powered frontend personalisation and digital membership architecture. This enables the club to capture richer fan intent data, track behavioural analytics, and deliver tailored content and seamless commercial journeys, from ticketing to membership perks, directly to fans both at home and abroad.

"Overhauling our website and app estate has allowed us to transform our content offering for all segments of our supporter base, deepening fan engagement through modern tech optimised for mobile, whilst focusing on current fan behaviours", says Matt Franks, Head Of Marketing at Crystal Palace F.C. "The complete visual refresh is a demonstration of our focus to offer supporters a personalised experience, whilst eliminating user friction and streamlining purchase journeys.”

For Eagles supporters, the relaunch introduces a bold new look and feel alongside an enhanced digital journey on both web and mobile app.

A standout feature of this new experience is the revamped Match Centre, engineered to power real-time data feeds and interactive modules that keep fans fully immersed in every fixture. The upgrade also introduces a curated match feed blending manual and automated multimedia updates into a classic live-blog format, designed to foster two-way community engagement and keep fan conversations centered on the club's owned platform. This gold-standard Match Centre provides high-speed statistical updates and fluid performance across platforms, serving as an interactive hub for matchday action.

New Crystal Palace FC digital platform across web and app

Another fundamental pillar of this evolution was the complete overhaul of the club's video engine.

Spearheading a structured delivery roadmap, the video infrastructure was transitioned to a modern backend powered by Brightcove (video hosting) and Cleeng (subscription and authentication management). This architectural upgrade delivers a smoother, more reliable experience for fans, eliminating common sport industry streaming challenges of mid-session logouts and performance disruptions, whilst allowing the system to scale effortlessly to handle high-concurrency matchday streaming demands.

The web platform now features custom, lightweight frontend player controls alongside browser-integrated reels powered by WSC Sports for instant, “snackable” content viewing. At the same time, the native CPFC iOS and Android apps have been completely redesigned to set a new standard for mobile fan engagement, blending sleek aesthetics with usability and accessibility. Reel content is also integrated into mobile, with supporters able to enjoy immersive, full-screen vertical feeds tailored for handheld navigation, blending high-impact video formats with rapid match updates.

To ensure long-term reliability and platform growth, InCrowd took full technical ownership of the web ecosystem, migrating the codebase away from legacy hosting into InCrowd’s high-performance infrastructure alongside the official app. This unified setup establishes stable deployment pipelines, removes legacy technical debt, and dramatically improves page load speeds.

Marking a major digital milestone for Crystal Palace and its global fanbase, this relaunch represents the next chapter in what will become decade-long partnership with InCrowd, powered by a sleek mobile-first design, high-speed matchday data, and a modernised video engine.
